Maybe this is a known problem to most, but I was searching using this error message:
hash() expects at least 2 parameters, 1 given
and got nothing.
turns out that php5 hash() conflicts and you should use dohash in your validation rules rather than hash. Just a note if anyone else is searching for the same thing.
