Email client connection problems

Hi guys!

I'm trying to build a basic email client for an application, and I used the IMAP / POP library in the Wiki, but I can't get it to work at all.

I'm using the default code in the example for the method in the Wiki page (but with the correct port number for my mail server), but it simply won't work, and all I keep on getting is:

A PHP Error was encountered

Severity: Notice

Message: Unknown: Connection failed to [domain name redacted],[port number redacted]: Connection timed out (errflg=2)

I've used all kinds of variations for the flags, but nothing works.

All of the connection details are fine and valid.

Any ideas what's going on?
