Good practice

I can see the advantages of moving validation to the model instead of controller... I've been doing this a LONG time, but I'm not one of the "I'm set in my ways, I refuse to change." types -- I'm going to switch to writing thin controllers, fat models & see if that actually does prove useful in practice.

All bs & pride aside... I've adopted this new "best practice" in a new LARGE project I'm building for a client, and it's already proven itself to me as the way to go. I'd urge others to try it in the next big project. I suppose for smaller projects it's a moot point.
