Homepage tutorials, and user guide

I am a novice PHP programmer, having written a few apps from scratch - I figure it's due time to learn a framework.

I was told to learn Codeigniter by some friends who have been writing PHP for years.

When I came to the homepage, I watched the tutorial videos and tried to follow along.

They are outdated, and have information irrelevant to the current version of CI. Maybe they should be remade or taken down or supply the older version of CI under the video.

When the videos didn't help me learn Code Igniter, I turned to IRC. Hiro_Protagonist was helpful, and archigos told me to go read the user guide that comes with CI.

So I am reading along, and I get to the section on models. I follow along exactly, and I am getting the error 'Unable to locate the model you have specified: blogmodel'

What am I doing wrong? Is there a compatibility issue with the user guide too?

Thank you for any help, I would love to learn code igniter... if only I could!

Ziggy` helped me figure out that the models are case sensitive. Thanks!
