I changed it to PATH_INFO on locally and remotely and it worked fine.

Just thought id share my exp with you and how i got it working.

First point uri_protocol issue I resolved by changing Auto to REQUEST_URI, by doing this the first page would work.

ie www.noozed.com/ci/index.php , this would bring up the defualt page index poited to which was welcome.

but if i did www.noozed.com/ci/index.php/welcome , or www.noozed.com/ci/index.php/blog [after doing the tutorial on hello world] it didnt work.

however index.php?c=welcome etc would work

But adding the .htaccess file to get rid of the index.php in the URI it worked fine.

So it worked but had to change a few things..
