I am currently working through the tutorials and everything is going well, seems I have finally found a framework I can work with!
Anyway I do have a few questions about
CodeIgniter v2.0.3, mainly about the folders.
When I upload the files to my host, there are three folders:
application,
system and
user_guide. Am I right in assuming that I do not need the
user_guide folder in order to run CodeIgniter?
I know it probably sounds like a stupid question if you know the answer, but that led to my second question: are the other two folders needed? I know that the
application folder is needed as it is where everything is kept, but is the
system folder required?
Basically the reason I am asking is I don't want to be hosting unnecessary files multiple times across many projects!
