Understanding CI concept:
1) Do you dump CI into wwwroot (or where ever) on your local machine...
... then edit CI, Customize CI, add your code to CI
... then upload it to the web and kaboom... you have a website?
2) What about site maintenance and ongoing development?
... Using a tool like Expression Web you do all your dev locally then tell Expression Web to update the site... Expression Web keeps up with changes so it only ftp's stuff that has been changed... very clean and simple.
... What is the process using CI?
... Do you work on the hot site?
... Or keep a copy of the site locally, edit & maintain as necessary, then delete the old copy on the web server and upload the whole website again?
I'm sure there is an easy clean way to do all this so thanks for any help.
