Please help...problem with website after upload to server

Help...I use CI to build a website for the first time...it run perfectly on localhost...

but when i upload to server...i have 404 error...sigh...I place my folder in the public_html folder...do i need to create a index.php in the public_html folder??

please help me...thanks a million

Who's your host?

Have you attempted to change the uri_protocol config option in config.php any?
