Codeigniter auto update and security patch

Hi,

I have been using Codeigniter for a long time now, and felt that one feature is worth implementing.

Can we have an update file, that can connect to the server and update the current installation with the security patches / updates. Wordpress currently supports this as an automatic feature, in Codeigniter we can put this an a manual one.

Please think about it.
