Hello,
I am newbie to Ci 2.0.3.
Followed the tutorials got Ci 2 working, its perfect.
But now ready to create my own app, but i cant seem to add 1+1 now.
Read some tutorials on configs but they all seem to be different cos of different versions of dirs placements. now cnnt really trust the vdo CI tutorial on y’tube.
I have xampp/htdocs/ci2.0.3 installed
also myapp folder is in this path ../htdocs/myapp.
So if i change config.php in ci2/application folder
1.$config[‘base_url’] = ‘http;//localhost/myapp/’; (to point to htdocs/myapp folder)
2. $config[‘global_xss_filtering’] = FALSE; shld i chng dis 2 TRUE
3. Is there any CHANGE i hv to do in the application/config/routes.php file?
$route[‘default_controller’] = “home”; Can I change it to index?
Should i copy this file into ../myapp/controllers folder?
4.Do I hv to move the ci2/system folder away into some htdocs/ for security reasons?
OR
5. should i just RENAME the htdocs/ci2/application folder to ci2/myapp folder?
IF SO then I just simply copy the whole ci2 folder to move it into the the liver server where the document root is?
Which is correct??
