db_session not as modular as it could be

Only a small one here, not really a bug. I was looking at db_session on your wiki and its a great improvement. I was looking at how you set your cookies and was surprised that you didn't use the Cookie helper? Why is this, would this not make the code more modular and simpler to change in the future if need be.
