I'm developing an application and want our developers to be able to view the currently implemented version of CI and be able to pull the most recent from an official source. This way when a developer logs into the platform, they can be alerted if there is a newer version of CI that needs to be implemented.
This desired functionality is similar to WP and how they'll alert you when there's a new update.
Where's the best place to get the most recent version of CI (2.x)? I don't mind scraping it, I just need to know a consistent location that it's published.
