fresh install codeigniter not working on nginx server

guys, i got problem with server nginx. i just download the newest codeigniter and upload it to my server with nginx. then i try access my page and the welcome page appear, but when i try access it like http://server/index.php/welcome i got "500 Internal Server Error". and then i know i just can access my site the home page or by enable "enable_query_strings" on config.php page, but that would make me to convert the uri mode one by one.
and i've tried the configuration for nginx from this http://www.farinspace.com/codeigniter-ng...ite-rules/ but does'nt work too, any of you have opinion for my case guys?

I have the same problem and I also followed the directions on that link. I can start the application I created but when I go to a subfunction in my controller it directs me to phpinfo
