Use a Private Key instead of the password with FTP library

Hi all,

I'm using the CI's FTP class for transferring the uploaded images to a remote server. Is there a possibility to use a key authentcation(public key/private key) instead of the providing a password to authenticate with the ftp server using CI's FTP class ?

Any help on this is highly appreciate.
