how to hide Controller name from url on detail page?

Hello friends,

i m new in CI framework, i want to hide the Controller name from the url.my current url is something http://localhost/ci/index.php/news/detail/news-title in this url news is a my Controller name, detail is function name and news-title is the title of news which we are passing to the detail function as parameter and its the detail page of news, i need the url something like http://localhost/ci/index.php/detail/news-title . so how should we can do this ? some one guide me.
