ok, I don't know about your background in Computer Science. So, I gives a guideline assuming (maybe my assumption is wrong, in that case forgive me) you are a new comer in the world of CS.

As you are interested in php and php support object oriented programming, so at first you have to be familiar with object oriented programming.

here you will get the best introductory level course for beginner.

Then you need to learn the basic knowledge of "Database". Search in google with "db-class.org" and hope you will get an excellent link to learn database.

After having the knowledge of OOP and Database, then you can jump to php. For this, I will recommend you two courses from "lynda.com" named "PHP with MySQL Essential Training" and "PHP with MySQL Beyond the Basics".
