I'm a fanboy of CI - but I'm working on a team of devs who are leery.
Two pushbacks so far -
security (Open Source adverse team member), especially with any third party modules and plugins (since the team likes to use these) - I've never encountered a valid exploit on any of my CI sites (and I've got around a dozen active profitable sites with CI running)
scalability - we have, currently, over 2000 concurrent users on the system (that I'm looking to replace with CI) on a regular basis. A couple million users per month.
I've worked with CI for years now and found it handles everything I've thrown at it, however, I've not worked with that many concurrent users (or that many per month) - has anyone worked in that realm - and do you have a URL we can see? Hints on solutions for problems you've encountered would also help.
