Help - Need to create calendar app

Hello,

I need to create a simple calendar app that will not allow a user to enter a date/time that conflicts with one already entered by category.

What is the best way to do this?
I need to get this setup quickly.

If you don't have time to learn CI, I'd say the best way to do it is to find a free open source package that already exists and hack it to your needs.

Doesn't look like there's much out there, but here's a link to examples of using the calendar class. Looks like the rest you may have to develop yourself ...
