Using the "$this->dbutil->xml_from_result($db_result)"-function I found out, that the result was not a valid xml document as the german "Umlaute" äüöß were not escaped correctly by the function xml_convert. I'm no xml fanatic, so I can't say what else has to be escaped, but hopefully someone has a link to a complete list of allowed characters and what has to be escaped?
