Listing all models, libraries, helpers once ?

His/Her point was that he doesn't want to change it at hundreds of places, which he could avoid using autoloading (correct). But if there is just one class that is autoloaded without a need, a core extension and loading everything in your __construct() would have been a better approach in my opinion.

I just wanted to point out my own personal approach at this autoloading-topic and how he could avoid the hassle by renaming it at every function.

It's just an extension of the idea behind autoloading, and maybe plausible for him/her

I agree that for the topic starter his situation using autoload is the best approach.
