help upload website on server

i have free domain on 000webhost.com and i want upload my website but my question is i have to upload all project folder like ci_news_project or all file one by one and what i have to change in my htaccess file before i upload on server thanks very much

when i copy all my file in public_html folder and after i try to open my website it's give me my folder name in web browser . in public folder has .htaccess file with only one line rewritebase . what i have to do with this file

is your ci index.php in the root folder?
