Hi! I was reading the installation guide:
http://ellislab.com/codeigniter/user-gui...index.html
And I want use CodeIgniter in Ubuntu.
My question is: Do I need change any permissions to files/folders or just unzip CodeIgniter?
Thanks in advance!
Marcos.

Basically, yes, just install, but be aware of which user is performing the unzip (what privileges does that user have?). If you are root or use sudo as root, then your files may be limited to access only by root. If you user a utility like Dolphin, you can check user and do global changes to all files in a directory.
It depends on who the user is when you create the folders, and what privileges they have. I have duplicate copies of my code, one for development where I write my code and one in my localhost root(s) directories. When I upload to my localhost server, I change the ownership and perhaps a third time when I upload to production servers.
