I've been developing my website with only one application... I decided that I need an actual admin panel, but I'm not sure of how to set it up. I renamed my application folder to "frontend" and changed the variable in my index.php file. I then created a new application folder called "admincp", copied the index.php file to a new file named admin.php, and then changed the application folder variable to "admincp". The only thing I'm unsure about is how to set up the URI's. When viewing my frontend, I use URI's such as mysite.com/articles/Some-Awesome-Article. How would I rewrite URI's such as mysite.com/admin to admin.php?
I tried changing my htaccess file, but now I get an internal server error, even when I view the frontend. My htaccess file is below.
Code:
# Deny OR Allow Folder Indexes.
# Since we disable access to PHP files you
# can leave this on without worries.
# OR better yet, create a .htaccess file in

Options -Indexes
Options +FollowSymLinks
# Set the default file for indexes
DirectoryIndex index.php
