Url Issue

Hello.. i try to find something about that... but found nothing.

my problem is:

i have a url

http://www.mysite.com/controller/method/param/

but i need a url that opens a particular file and not execute a method

ex:
http://www.mysite.com/folder/subfolder/file.pdf

but this dont work...

where i can get some ideas about, or someone can help me with that?

its working... its a error that a made... thanks anyway...

but just for curiosity...

i can do something like that in codeigniter? For other things not just a file?
