Passing a variable between 2 controllers

Howdy Guys,

I'm in a bit of a pickle at the moment.

We have an XML refresh page that loads a controller and gets a price on the fly and passes it back to the view reloading the prices... on the view before this I have a voucher code enter box. I need to get the variable of that input box from the first controller and pass it into the XML refresh controller.

On the prices / XML refresh page within the controller I can see redirect header but it doesn't pass an variables...

Do you know if this can be done, any help would be great.
