Jamie Rumbelow's codeigniter-base-model, which to choose, composer package or git master branch??

Hi, i want to use jamierubelow's base-model but i'm kinda confused of which one to choose, the one existing in packagist https://packagist.org/packages/jamierumb...base-model or the one in his git repo main branch https://github.com/jamierumbelow/codeigniter-base-model ??

I tried to diff the MY_Model the two each produce, and i found a lot of differences, I also look which one was more active, in the git repo master branch case, the last commit was done last month, while in the packagist case, the last commit was done a year ago. So i'm thinking i'll be using the one in his git repo master branch.
But still, I do want your opinions. Which one is more updated and less buggy?
