Session driver: cookie vs native

In CI 3 we can choose between cookie and native.
What are the advantage and disadvantage? When to use cookie, when to use native?

It really depends on the amount of data that you need to store. Cookies can only hold 4k of data whereas the database sessions can store unlimited amount of data.
