Need suggestion for Calendar/Scheduling tool

Hi all,

I am looking for suggestions for a calendar/scheduling tool that I can integrate with a CI PHP application.

A little background - I'm developing an application that has a scheduling component. The application is for a Nutrition Education department within an org. It should allow the user to schedule and manage Nutrition Education classes. The user needs the ability to invite other users to classes and determine the availability of other users schedules.

Some of the tools I've looked at -
• phpScheduleIt - http://php.brickhost.com/
• Smart PHP Calendar - http://www.smartphpcalendar.com/
• Google Calendar API - https://developers.google.com/google-apps/calendar/
• dhtmlxScheduler - http://dhtmlx.com/docs/products/dhtmlxSc...ndex.shtml

Really just looking for any feedback that I can get on this before jumping in.

Thanks,

Derek

I'm looking for something a little more advanced than that.

I've looked around quite a bit, and am really surprised at the lack of scheduling/appointment tools/api's out there. Maybe I'm just not searching for the right thing, I don't know.

Smart PHP Calendar is the most promising software I've looked into, but judging by their website and support, they seem to be a very small organization (if that).

Google Calendar API seems to have a lot of the features I need, but I also need the ability to store the data in my own database and not just a way to interact with Google Calendar.

Any ideas? Surely, there is a larger software vendor selling something like this?

Make one.
We will use it, I promise. ^-^

Not fair to acuse someone for not doing something you need personally.

Just looking for suggestions here. Not trying to reinvent the wheel.
