You shouldn't have to do anything with 'cur_page', that's an internal setting. The user guide doesn't mention it as a setting to change. It's just the "current page number", which the pagination class gets from either the uri_segment setting, or the query string setting, depending on which you're using.

Ok, thanks joergy and CroNiX for your time and help, I really appreciate it, and sorry for my insistence. I'll try your solution with uri_segment. I didn't know that cur_page can't be a pagination config.
