| CodeIgniter 3, yay or nay? |
Hey guys. Long time lurker, fist time poster here. I was wondering if any of you have any experience using the new Codeigniter 3? We are about to start converting to it at my current company, and I would love to hear of any pitfalls or DONT's/DO's with this version of codeigniter.
CI3 is the last and newest version of codeigniter (thanks to developer team), i didn't used ci before version 3 but i used it for my new application, it is (until now) stable and works well, if you want to use codeigniter, i think you must go with version3,
Sessions are handled slightly differently, so you will need to keep that in mind if you are converting apps from CI2 to CI3. Encrypt library is deprecated, so you will want to convert all your usage to the new Encryption library. Other than that, there isn't a whole lot to worry about. Same ol' CI in most respects.
