Community Auth login count

Hi,

Is there a way to check how many times a user has logged in with Community Auth? I note there's the possibility for a post_auth_hook, though that is called when the level has been checked, whether logged in or not (which is by design, given the navigation example).

Essentially what I'm aim to do is:

User logs in
If it's their first login, send to a welcome page
if not, send to whatever is in the ?redirect param

Is this possible without fiddling with the core CA code?

You could use user profiles, and have a field in the profile where you can track if the user has logged in. See the CA website. There is a blog post about profiles, and you can see how this might be a solution.
