CodeIgniter on a production site

I'm seriously considering using CodeIgniter on a startup that needs the potential to scale well. What are some big and famous websites designed on CodeIgniter?

I'm not sure I would base my "does it scale" analysis on the performance of others, when performance is largely a product of how a site is designed until you get to a massive scale.

CodeIgniter is very fast; easily one of, if not the, fastest php framework. While not huge, these guys are a reputable startup and use CI: http://heysan.com/

You might also like to check out the CI projects list. I know one of the guys here recently launched gold.org which I would think is a fairly high-traffic site.
