Already answered earlier in this thread, as well as in https://forum.codeigniter.com/thread-66704.html!
In a nutshell, when it is ready, which is likely but not targeted or promised for sometime 2017.

When it's ready we will be notified no sooner no later.

there are still 18 open issues. Are these the same as 12 month ago?
Is there still development with CI4? I dont want to pressure anybody i know this takes time. But no apparent change in 12 month seems a bit worrying.
On the package it said needs Windows 7 or better. So I installed Linux.

Are you a programmer?

If not, I'm sorry but you probably don't belong here.
If yes, you go look at code and commits. How's it even possible that you bothered to check an issue count, but didn't look at commit activity before saying that there's no apparent change?

Seriously, this is ridiculous and I've seen it happen way too many times.

I check everyday to see if the code has been updated,
If so then I update all my on going test projects.

Very sorry to have offended you. That was not my intention at all.
And yes I am programmer (probably long before you started soiling your nappies) I just dont use git (never liked it and try to stay away from it) I prefer SVN.

I looked back at that list and indeed even I should have seen those activity dates.

Again my apologies for a totally unnecessary post.

Why is development so slow?

Cause only 1 developer working on it regularly. Be patient.
