I am just trying to get an understanding of how to organise CI and how it works etc...
Therefore in my trials and attempts to organise my controllers, views, etc... I created subfolders to place my controllers in and views in, etc.
However, i have found an odd occurance...
If i create a folder "shoes" within controllers (note no controller inside it) then i can type the URL "http://www.mydomain.com/shoes" and this then displays my websites default controller, not the 404 error i was expecting.
Similar applies to any folder with or without a controller in it... This caused me a little bit of confusion when learning, as i was often not going o the right location in my error!!!
Is there a reason for this? Should i not be using folders inside controllers folder? etc?
