ssl certificate and design setting

Hi,
           every one I am trying to embed ssl certificate in my website. but is giving error for resolution the design of the website is disoriented when we tyer in" https" instead" http". Any one can help would be appreciated.  we tried different things but its not working.

when calling assets like javascripts, css, images, you should use "//yourdomain.com/asset.ext", instead of "http://yourdomain.com/asset.ext". Usually the problem is that the browser doesn't allow assets to be shown if they are retrieved from http://
