My application runs in php with codeigniter.

i want to redirect the url like this.

https://www.domain.com/search-profile/<n...e_name.htm 
to 
https://www.domain.com/file_name.htm 


Can somebody help how to do it ?

unless you want ALL traffic to your site to go through that particular process with mod_rewrite I think you should look into routing.
