No. 32 of the top used passwords made me laugh. Honestly, that is not my password at all :-)

I found a list of the top ten used pin numbers the other day, mine was number 4 on the list - and there was I thinking I had been really ingenious in my original thinking!!!!

Nice article.

So how exactly do you choose a password for, say, your email account, that is memorable, but secure enough (ie not a truly random and complex set of characters), and not so long that you take ages to sign in?

It seems such an impossible game to win at that I think that is why most people just think a simple one will do, and if anyone cares enough to hack your account then so be it, just do not have any truly sensitive data in it.

Hashcat is amazing btw: https://hashcat.net/hashcat/

I use a simple password for sites I don't care about them getting it for secure sites I have a very strong long password.
