I like the implementation... I would add something to test the uri_protocol (which is a thing that is usually problematic)... although it's not easy...

One thing else: The getimagesize() function does not require the GD image library.

seppo: you're right and i knew it didn't but i thought there was some other reason i had it -- i'm going back and re-checking my dependancies because i ended up with something wierd somehow.

Thanks for pointing it out though.

In the process of doing a few fixes and updating the deps... dunno wth was going on in my head

Had some wierd dependancy stuff going on.

-Fixed dependancies
-Added more accurate verification for Image_lib (actually checks that the library's extension option (gd,gd2,imagemagik,netpbm is loaded)
