Unable to remove index.php on Google Cloud server.

Hello,

I have unable to remove index.php in my URl. I used google cloud server and codeigniter files are hosted in wordpress website directory.
My URL : http://ddrws.in/util/visitor/index.php/user/login , when i remove index.php and run this error shown..
Oops! That Page Can’t Be Found.

It looks like nothing was found at this location. Maybe try one of the links below or a search?


I also used all code of .htaccess and config.php file.

Please help me , Thanks in advance..

I am not sure but maybe this will work. I think you have to check.htaccesss file properly or you can remove it and then check.

First, make sure that the web server has mod_rewrite enabled.

If it is enabled then you need to check if .htaccess is being handled. You can easily do that by putting useless text in the first line of the file. Any word will do as long as it is not a valid .htaccess command. Direct a web browser to the site. If the site shows then .htaccess is not being read. What you should see is 500 Internal Server Error message. Remove the change you made to .htaccess before you do more troubleshooting.
