Codeigniter project is not running in locahost

My project is already hosted on a live server, I want to host it on a local server so that I can do experiments in that, but it is not hosting in local server. can you please tell me the solution for that.

Depends how far you have got...

1. install CI4 and make sure Welcome_message page appears
2. download the project from the live server
3. set system path, database, etc
4. ensure debugging is working OK
