Thanks, @jreklund & Co  for the new user guide in 4.0.3 
I would like to see an expansion of the "Create News items" section.

Why not cover the remaining CRUD stuff like an update example. If validation fails the form is displayed again. I would like to see old values in each field. And each value shall be the correctly validated value. If that not exist it should be the old value from database, and if that not exist it should be an empty value.

I also think the following would save tremendous time for newbies and make the learning curve less steep:

• Expand the crud to cover also the following form field types: dropdown, radio, and checkbox. 
  
• Add soft delete to the CRUD
  
• Add timestamps
  

I know this takes time to fix. But I think the best way to make Codeigniter popular and easy to adopt is examples, examples, examples . Thanks for all the effort you all put in! And that you make the User guide better and better!
