Release date 4.1

Hello guys, I understand that all the work depends on the community and thus it is a bit slow to meet the release dates, I am satisfied with Codeigniter, it is a framework where I feel like a fish in water, personally I would like to contribute more to pending tasks, bugs and developments however I don't know where to start. Does anyone have any guide to contribute or is it just doing pull request? and on the other hand, what remains to be done for version 4.1?
