Is it good to use scaffolding to create an admin-zone ?

Hello guys,
as you don't know me, feel free to read my introduction here

I'm reading the very well done CI User Guide, and as I read the scaffolding part, I see that it must be used for development purposes only. As I recently discovered the scaffolding principles, I was thinking to use it to run the administration of my web app.

It seems wrong, why is that ?

It's wrong because:
1. It's for development.
2. You will not get really flexible administration part.

Also i don't think that scaffolding will be supported anymore soon.

Better to look at Jtaby solution call codex.

see ya around.

scaffolding is deprecated - that's why it seems wrong.

As you all seem very clear, I guess it just sucks to use it, so let's forget it! thanks ;-).

I must have missed that the scaffolding is depricated, it helped me out abit in the begining. Kinda sucks, but then again I ended up spending more time using phpmyadmin afterwards, but the scaffolding was less clunky in comparrison for populating starting test data to see if my idea was going to workout. I liked not having to start writing code to insert stuff into the database off the bat because it helped me to a prototype quicker. Is it getting dropped period, or do they have something better on the horizon?
