CI's Furture

I believe it was last summer there was a lot of excitement about Code Igniter 2.0 and Expression Engine 2.0. I kept up with it for a while but then lost interest after the summer ended and nothing had come. I just recently start to really read this forum again, as school is ending here soon and I'm planning on getting back into the flow of Web development and need to update my self to all that has changed. Such as the latest release, 1.7.1.

So, is there any whispers being thrown around for about EE and CI 2.0?

From what I've heard, most effort is bein thrown at the next releae of EE, which is being built on CI, so there should be lots of updates to CI too... but no idea when

Yeah, it's been a while and EE 2.0 is very much awaited. Haven't heard news about it recently though.
