[SOLVED] Unable to select database, same settings, different environmet

Well, this was a screw up by my server company.

The IP newer got added even if it was listed, so after contacting the server company.

The solution:
I had to add the office IP in the allowed access hosts to DB.

Posted it here, I hope this can save someone time and/or frustration.
