Adding or changing views format in CodeIgniter

Good day to you guys.
I am new to CodeIgniter.
Please I want to ask what could be wrong. I edited an application created in CodeIgniter on my local machine and the changes I am making are not reflecting. What can be the cause.
I want to modify the *views* using the css and JavaScript. I made changes in the views folder.
I edited the css file and cannot see the change after reloading the page.

first i would clear cache on your browser, at i would try clear cache at /writable/cache caught me out a few times

CMS CI4     I use Arch Linux by the way 

Instead of pressing F5 on browser, just press Alt+F5
