possible typo in the user guide?

in the user guide here there is a line of text that says "In your validation config file, you will name your rule group member/signup:" (ctrl+f to find it, about 3/4 down). below that is a code snippet that starts with

           'member/signup' = array(

should the second = sign not be => instead? my IDE says this is an error and the browser outputs a php syntax error referring to that line.

when i change = to => it all works fine. am i missing something?
