Anymore big changes to come to CI (like when the form validation changed) for the 2.0 EE release?

I was just wondering if there were going to be anymore hefty changes to Ci to what is current for when EE 2.0 comes along.

For example, a few releases ago the form validation changed fairly heavily (although i appreciate the old one is still there) and i just wondered if there was anything else that was going to change fairly significantly?

That was all!!

I expect there will be some crazy overhauls of the internal workings and lots of new helper functions, libraries and config options, but CodeIgniter has always been very much about backwards compatibility.

It is of course speculation but I would be VERY surprised if CodeIgniter 2.0 broke any of our (well written) applications.

A little insight from the team would brilliant.

From what I interpret about the upcoming release, EE 2.0 doesn't necessarily mean CodeIgniter 2.0. EE 2.0 just happens to be built upon CodeIgniter. That just how I understand it at least, I could be wrong.

I heard it comes with a "happy ending"--if you know what I mean

No i don't know what you mean, i require a detailed explanation and possibly a drawing of some description.

I hear CodeIgniter 2.0 will cure cancer and produce an increase in bloodflow to that "certain part of the anatomy". It may also solve the global financial crisis, but that's just speculation.

Cold Fusion is the sole property of Adobe Systems Incorporated. Your cease and desist letter is already in the mail barring you from intentionally seeking to spread the misinformation that the unique patented intellectual properties of Adobe Systems Incorporated are available on any other system.

I hope you'll learn your lesson 'the easy way'.
