An example of a highly customized CodeIgniter + Uploadify setup for multi file uploading

I noticed that some people on this forum have a lot of trouble getting Uploadify, a Flash-based component for multi file uploading, to work in a CI setup. It was hard, yet I managed to produce a working setup that is quite sophisticated and robust, so hereby I want to share a bit of it.
