GET or POST for navigational forms?

Hello.

Maybe this a strange question, but … I dont know :-)

Do you use POST or GET for 'navigation' forms within web pages? Forms like search, filter …

I like to use GET. But when I use them I only can use them as URL params (/?cat=files&page=3)? Not as 'usual' in CI (/controller/method/var1/var2). Is there any best practices?

I've watched all video tutorials at tutsplus, but have forgotten that my question was covered there :-) I'll have a look at that video again.
